Stardust

Jazz concerts, poetry readings, poetry slams, science talks, and much more. Stardust offers you culture with depth several days a week. Listen to the buzzing sounds of jazz, be verbally inspired by amazing poets, or broaden your horizons with talks on astronomy.

The volunteer association Paradise Jazz organizes around 100 concerts a year at Stardust, featuring everything from bebop, modern jazz, vocal jazz, and free jazz. On weekends, our cultural partners take to the stage and host poetry slams, poetry readings, talks, stand-up comedy, and much more.

Former meeting place for writers and youth cultures

Stardust is a venue with a rich history. Back in the 1970s, it was a gathering place for discussions about society and ways of living. Under the name Husets Bogcafé, it was also a central meeting place for the most talented writers of the time and the generational manifesto NÅ!!80, which included Michael Strunge. Later, in 1984, it became the rock club Barbue, where hip-hoppers, punks, and other youth cultures made their mark. It was a leading venue for the latest musical trends and niche cultures. Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, and Sods, for example, played at Barbue between 1984 and 1994.
