THEME: BENEATH THE SURFACE

Not everything is as it seems. 'Beneath the Surface' invites the audience to look closer, uncover hidden layers and confront truths. The Greek documentary 'Avant-Drag!', which opens this programme, introduces us to the intimate lives of ten drag performers and comments on societal norms while reshaping perceptions about LGBTQ+ culture. The short film selection narrates tales of mystery, concealed truths and moments that challenge what we think we know.
