Love can be messy, destructive, absurd, or all-consuming. From fleeting connections to devastating heartbreaks and from secret passions to obsessions, ‘Hopelessly Romantic’ explores the full spectrum of romance. The curated short film selection highlights the various shades of love and, through different stories, captures the vulnerability, passion, beauty and chaos of the human heart. The notion of 'Hopelessly Romantic’ completes the feature-length film, a vibrant, darkly comic tale of longing and devotion told through the story of Bionico, a crack-addicted romantic trying to stay clean for his fiancée.
