Dive-In 48 Film Festival

Experience the award-winning Icelandic film Virgin Mountain as the festival comes to a close in collaboration with Icelandic Movie Night. A touching story about loneliness, courage, and love.

The festival concludes with a special screening of Virgin Mountain (2015), directed by Dagur Kári. The film follows Fúsi, a man in his forties living a quiet and routine-driven life on the margins of society. When unexpected relationships enter his world, he is challenged to rethink how he wants to live.

Critically acclaimed, the film received the Nordic Council Film Prize and multiple awards at the Tribeca Film Festival, including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Screenplay. Blending humor and emotional depth, it explores themes of loneliness, prejudice, and the search for human connection.

The screening is part of a special collaboration with Icelandic Movie Night and marks the closing event of this year’s festival.
