HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS

In this edition of Bad Movie Club we screen Hundreds of Beavers (2022), directed by Mike Cheslik. The film is a modern tribute to the spirit of silent film comedy and classic cartoon-style slapstick.

The story follows an unlucky fur trapper struggling to survive in a frozen wilderness filled with traps, animals and what seems to be an endless army of beavers. With very little dialogue, the film relies on physical comedy, visual creativity and increasingly absurd situations.

Made on an extremely small budget, the film turns limited resources into a strength. Using handmade costumes, a small group of friends and an endless supply of ideas, Mike Cheslik creates a playful and inventive film that feels both homemade and wildly ambitious.

The result is a fast-moving comedy packed with sight gags, escalating challenges and a sense of humor that grows bigger, stranger and funnier as the story unfolds.
