On SCORPIO, singer-songwriter Madison McFerrin explores what happens when a life you thought would last forever suddenly takes a different direction.
The album is named after McFerrin’s zodiac sign, Scorpio, and reflects a personal transformation from heartbreak and the end of a long-term relationship to self-love and a stronger sense of self.
The songs move between grief, desire, doubt and liberation. In tracks including “I Don’t”, “Run It Back”, “Lesson” and “The End”, McFerrin writes about the end of a relationship and the challenge of letting go, even when part of you is still looking back.
SCORPIO is an album about loss, learning and rebirth. About finding love again, not least within yourself, and turning difficult experiences into art.
HUSET at Stairway
While HUSET is undergoing renovation, a series of concerts, debates, and cultural events are taking place at other venues in Copenhagen. This concert is part of Musikcaféen’s program and will be held at Stairway in Vanløse.
