iii, aahaa, ohhh...æh

Four sounds – iii, aahaa, ohhh…and æh – form the foundation of the work, unfolding into music, image, and movement.

iii holds anticipation, aahaa brings insight, ohhh opens a question, and æh marks the conclusion.

The film is created within the research project Creation through Other Identities, where Alexandra Hallén has explored what happens when composing and creating through other identities within time-based formats. Through this project the characters Kaninen (the Bunny), Älvan (the Fairy) and Framtiden (the Future) have emerged, leading to a new collaboration. The Bunnyshack is no longer only their home, but also a collaborative space where the characters can meet and create together – the place from which this opera film has emerged.

Bio:

Alexandra Hallén works in the field between composition, performance, and sound art, with a conceptual and experimental approach. Her practice spans installation, objects, sensorics, video, and text, often blurring the boundaries between musical composition and performative action. Through her research project Creation through Other Identities she investigates how fictional identities can become generative tools for composing and performance.
