Paradise Jazz: Schack / Søndergaard Soulmates

Paradise Jazz invites you to an energetic concert when alto saxophonist Jens Søndergård and organist Martin Schack interpret some of the most iconic numbers in jazz history.

The evening features classics from the likes of Lee Morgan, Cannonball Adderley and Art Pepper – music from the golden age of hard bop, where strong melodies, blues and swing meet in a powerful expression. With saxophone and Hammond organ at the forefront, the music gets both warmth, groove and plenty of room for improvisation.

The quartet is backed by a top-class rhythm section. Legendary percussionist Eliel Lazo brings his characteristic drive and Latin-inspired energy to the music, while drummer Nicklas Campagnol contributes with virtuoso playing and dynamic interplay.

The audience can look forward to a concert with lots of joy in playing, strong solos and a solid groove – an evening where jazz classics are given new life on stage in Paradise.
