Ramen Double Feature – movie and dinner at HUSET

Experience two cult films about the art of making the perfect ramen – and enjoy a bowl of noodle soup from Himitsu Ramen between films.

On Saturday, October 4, Husets Biograf and Himitsu Ramen invite you to a whole day dedicated to noodles, soup, and cinema. We begin with the documentary Ramen Heads (2017, 94 min., Japanese with English subtitles), which follows Osamu Tomita – known as Japan's uncrowned ramen king. The film provides a fascinating insight into his uncompromising quest for the perfect soup and the best ingredients, as well as into Japan's rich ramen culture.

After the film, dinner will be served at Himitsu Ramen (the restaurant on the first floor). Here you can choose between three different dishes: Shio (with beef), Miso (vegan) or Shoyu (with pork). Please add your choice when booking your ticket.

The main film of the evening is Jûzô Itami's cult classic Tampopo (1985, 114 min., Japanese with English subtitles). It depicts a widow's struggle to transform her small noodle bar into a ramen paradise – with the help of a truck driver and a series of colorful characters. The film is a playful mix of comedy, culinary philosophy, and absurd side stories that both celebrate and challenge the rituals of food culture.

The ticket price is DKK 180 and includes dinner and admission to both films.
