On Saturday, May 23, SALSA JAM invites the audience to become part of Copenhagen's vibrant salsa scene when the orchestra Tiempo Cuba fills the room with celebration, Cuban rhythms, and dance. An evening where the raw power of live music transforms the stage into a genuine encounter with Cuba's joyful and rich musical culture.

SALSA JAM organizes live salsa and dance shows with some of the country's best artists in the genre, and the concept has been running for 10 years at Kulturhuset Islands Brygge. For the first time, we are shaking things up and organizing an event in the more intimate setting of Musikcaféen, which we expect to be packed this evening!

Tiempo Cuba is a project that combines the modern energy of salsa and tropical music with the island's deep rhythmic heritage. The band is an extension of Cuban popular music, which has created universal genres and a sound culture known for its rhythmic richness and ability to bring people together on the dance floor. The band consists of just five musicians who together create a diverse and powerful sound: Henri Benítez (lead vocals), Oldrich Gonzales (piano/vocals), Ruben Millet (multi-percussion/vocals), Alfonso Núñez (bass/vocals), and Jakob Johansen (trombone/vocals).
