Skammens vogn – Spacebaby releasekoncert | Musikcaféen

Skammens Vogn will celebrate the release of Spacebaby, their eighth album, out via Tambourhinoceros November 8th, with a concert at HUSET.

Skammens vogn — consisting of poet-priest Nikolaj Zeuthen, healer Oliver Hoiness, and cannabis farmer Jakob Millung — celebrates the essence and down-to-earth appeal of rock music on their new album, Spacebaby. This is the trio's eighth release, and they'll mark the occasion with a concert at Huset, performing alongside a brand-new live ensemble. Experience Skammens vogn like you've never heard them before!

The album title, Spacebaby, comes from the chorus of their single "Kim Larsen er død" and is actually a hidden Kim Larsen quote. It refers to a traveler in outer space who passes beyond time and transforms back into a fetus. For the band, music is a spiritual phenomenon not bound by time or place, and the spacebaby symbolizes this: "Infant, elder, warrior – idiot, sage, vagabond, showman – street sweeper, astronaut – past, present, and forever – this is the call and voice of music, which we strive to answer to the best of our ability."

Skammens vogn is a group founded on a friendship from their elementary school days, an artistic and spiritual collective that has now existed for nearly twenty years. The band broke through with the album Asfalt (2013). Zeuthen has been nominated twice for the Carl Prize for his lyrics and once for the Steppeulven award. Oliver Hoiness has received a Steppeulv award for "Musician of the Year," and Jakob Millung has earned several awards for his work with other bands.
