The Room

This Friday we’re screening The Room – the film once called “the worst movie ever made,” which against all odds has become a worldwide cult phenomenon.

Tommy Wiseau’s The Room (2003, 99 min., English dialogue, no subtitles) is one of cinema’s most infamous cult classics. On its release, it was dismissed as a disaster, but with its absurd dialogue, off-kilter emotional logic, and bizarre storytelling, the film has won a devoted following that revels in its unique charm.

In true cult tradition, The Room has built a loyal fanbase and spawned monthly screenings in Los Angeles, New York, and London – and for the past eight years, also here in Copenhagen. Expect laughter, confusion, and perhaps a few flying spoons along the way.

The film stars Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero – and, of course, the legendary framed pictures of spoons.

Note: It is not permitted to bring drinks from outside. Beverages can be purchased in the café.
