Vinterjazz: Movement shaped like a heart
Movement Shaped Like a Heart is a concert organiser and collectively run record label based in Aarhus and Copenhagen. The collective aims to showcase the newest wave of alternative music from the Danish underground scene, focusing on music as a gathering point and a way to create community in a tumultuous present.
Astrid Helena Frej Møller – Release Concert
Astrid Helena Frej Møller is an experimental composer, vocalist, and producer working within electronica, contemporary music, and improvised music. She has a background in classical piano and voice and is currently studying electronic composition at DIEM, the Danish Institute of Electronic Music at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus. Astrid Helena draws on a broad spectrum of influences, from 1990s trip hop and electronica to contemporary music. By blending these traditions, she creates musical worlds that are often dark and fantastical, while inviting listeners into a personal and vulnerable lyrical space filled with ambiguity. In April 2025, she released her debut album All My Rages on Movement Shaped Like a Heart.
Magnus Munk Tækker – Release Concert
Magnus Munk Tækker is a multi-instrumentalist who improvises, explores, and expands new musical and sonic spaces using pedal steel, clarinet, guitar, and computer. In recent years, he has released several albums, including passage (January 2025) and en aften (June 2024), both released through Movement Shaped Like a Heart. This evening celebrates the release of his newest album, 180—a double cassette album with associations to ambient, glitch, and free improvisation. 180 will be released in February 2026.
Great Gestures
Great Gestures is a melting pot of lo-fi songwriting, no wave kraut, and spatialised noise pop experiments. The songs are written by Johannes Østlund Jacobsen (Kindsight, bending Backwards, Psychobillyjazz 3) and take shape in a six-person band and a surround system built from guitar amplifiers.
Movement Shaped Like a Heart has been active since 2023. As a concert organiser, they are not tied to a fixed location but create unique, site-specific events that highlight the potential and aesthetics of each space, often in collaboration with visual artists.
