Paradise Jazz: Trombone Joy

Look forward to a concert with lots of energy, humor and classic jazz sound when Trombone Joy takes the stage at Paradise Jazz. Here, three trombones in the front and a strong rhythm team behind - a combination that promises both power, warmth and swing.

At the forefront is the legendary Danish trombonist Ole “Fessor” Lindgren, who has been a central figure in Danish jazz for decades. Together with his Swedish and Danish colleagues Petter Hängsel and Mads Hyhne, he forms a trombone trio, where the three instruments play against each other in both tight arrangements, improvisation and musical dialogue.

The repertoire draws inspiration from the classic swing and mainstream tradition, where the melodies find room for humor, virtuosity and strong interplay. The audience can expect a lively concert experience with big sounds from the trombones, elegant solos and a solid groove from the rhythm section.
