With her third album, Where Light Settles, Jasmine Myra has stepped confidently into the next stage of her unique musical explorations. The album is a cohesive artistic statement from one of the most distinctive and compelling voices in contemporary UK jazz.

Across nine beautiful and powerfully grounded compositions, Myra explores themes of life, growth and progression. Her music is shaped by a vision of duality: the tension between hardship and hope, darkness and light, loss and renewal. The result is a deeply moving sound world filled with warmth, tenderness and emotional depth.

Recorded live in one room with her long-standing ensemble, Where Light Settles captures the energy of musicians creating together in the moment. Rich arrangements for strings, piano, flute, guitar, vibraphone and harp intertwine with saxophone, double bass, drums and percussion, creating melodies that sparkle like sunlight on water.

A self-produced release on Gondwana Records, the album also reflects Myra’s love of cinematic music and the natural world. Inspired by landscapes in North Wales, the Lake District and the South Downs, her compositions evoke shifting seasons, changing weather and vast open spaces. As Myra describes it, the album feels “autumnal”, balancing beauty and melancholy with hope and forward motion.
