CLASSIC HORROR SUNDAY IN 16mm

Your ticket is good for all 3 movies and you can attend or not attend individual films as you wish

13.00 = "The Abominable Dr. Phibes", directed by Robert Fuest, 1971, 94 minutes.
Art Deco gothique that is loaded with gorgeous cinematography, succulent camera movement, sadistic methods of torture and a devious sense of humor. There’s so much to love here — Phibes is a beautiful, stylish triumph of the macabre and a beloved cult classic.

15.00 =“Night of the Living Dead,” directed by George Romero, 1968, 96 minutes.
Recently dead bodies come back to life and begin killing human beings in order to eat their flesh in this top classic of the horror genre.

17.00 = "Adventure in Denmark", directed by Fan Ho, 1973, 90 minutes, on 35mm! with English subtitles.
NOT a horror film but still super freaky! Shot at the height of the sexual revolution, the story involves two Hong Kong dudes who fly over to Denmark to experience free love and end up furiously kung-fu fighting their way through the streets of Copenhagen all decorated for Christmas.

Highlights include an erotic encounter with 3 loose schoolgirls who dance to rock-and-roll records (including early Pink Floyd), and our hero drinking from the scummy waters of the Peblinge Sø by the Dronning Louise bridge after being told it will increase sexual potency.

See how Asian grindhouse movie producers viewed the Danish sex revolution (pretty strangely!)
