24 years in Denmark - Let's talk about adoption
24 Years in Denmark – An Evening About Adoption
What is it really like to be adopted in Denmark?
This evening, we invite you to a film screening and discussion about adoption based on the documentary film “24 Years in Denmark.”
The film was made by adoptive parents who embark on the journey of a lifetime to India to meet their daughter for the very first time. The audience gets a unique and authentic insight into the emotional journey that both parents and child go through. It is a story of longing, love, and meeting a child you have been waiting for for many years – but also a film that opens up for reflection on the many layers of adoption.
After the screening, participants are invited to a Q&A session, where they can ask questions and talk openly about adoption – both based on the film's narrative and from their own perspectives. The evening provides space for insight, reflection, and community, and there will be an opportunity to enjoy a drink and meet other participants.
