DIVE-IN 48 FILM FESTIVAL DAY TWO

Watch the award-winning The Great Silence and join a post-screening talk on guilt, faith, and trauma with director Katrine Brocks and actor Diêm Camille.

Dive-In 48 Film Festival presents the critically acclaimed debut feature The Great Silence (2022), directed by Katrine Brocks. After the screening, you can join a conversation with the director and actor Diêm Camille, alongside trauma therapist and philosophical practitioner Nis Bjarnhof.

The film follows Alma, who lives a quiet life in a Catholic convent as she prepares to take her final vows. When her brother suddenly reappears after years apart, she is forced to confront a past she has long tried to suppress. As buried memories resurface, her sense of faith, identity, and purpose begins to unravel.

The Great Silence is a powerful exploration of guilt, faith, and repressed trauma. It invites reflection on how the past shapes us and what happens when hidden truths come to light.
