Dynamic | CPH Jazz Festival

The Copenhagen based group Dynamic is close harmony vocal jazz at its very best; four strong vocals and a razor-sharp rhythm group. Dynamic’s bandleader, Paul Kim, is from San Francisco where he has won awards and performed with big names in vocal jazz such as Bobby McFerrin and Jon Hendricks. He created Dynamic when moving to Denmark, and for over 10 years the seven jazz pros from DK/US/SE have been touring with a varied repertoire that excites both those who enjoy new thinking and edge, and those who love the feeling of recognizing a jazz standard. There is Nordic clarity, spicy West Coast grooves, Latin rhythms, swing… The band is often compared to The Manhattan Transfer, but have a sound all their own. Paul Kim's original arrangements of standards and Dynamic’s own compositions stand as a journey through the landscape of jazz. Dynamic regularly performs in Denmark and abroad and has released several critically acclaimed albums.
