Faunea + LIBRÆ + Nioma
Nioma:
With lyrics rooted in everyday reflections and sensory impressions, Nioma blends elements of indie, bossa nova, folk pop and singer-songwriter traditions.
The duo, consisting of Molly Efionayi and Nanna Ugorskij, creates a rich yet fragile soundscape with beautiful and slightly off-kilter vocal harmonies, delicate melodic lines and resonant fingerstyle guitar playing.
LIBRÆ:
LIBRÆ is an art project created by singer, songwriter and composer Therese Harris Buus Nielsen. The name unites the zodiac sign Libra with the word “free” – “libre” – and encapsulates the core of the project: the tension between balance and freedom.
LIBRÆ revolves around the freedom that emerges from balance, and the balance that must be found within the chaos of freedom in order to endure. The project does not seek perfect harmony, but exists in constant movement between exploration, development and transcendence.
With a background in classical singing, Therese Harris Buus Nielsen possesses a strong technical foundation and notable vocal depth. In LIBRÆ, she merges this classical base with a contemporary, genre-dissolving expression. Ethereal vocals, pulsing rhythms and deep synth layers form a richly atmospheric sound universe where fragile twilight moments coexist with explosive bursts of intensity.
Faunea:
Faunea is a multicultural artist of Danish, Peruvian and Asian heritage.
Her voice has been described as a blend of light intimacy and a mysterious, haunting darkness, drawing associations to eclectic artists such as Björk, Die Antwoord and MØ.
She gained international recognition when her song “Sound of Breaking” was featured in the American Netflix series Tiny Pretty Things. Since then, she has written more music and taken part in numerous collaborative projects, including tracks such as Muri’s “Fallin’”, Nonsens’ “Feel That Way” and biskuwi’s “Lose Your Mind”. She later launched her own record label and now releases music as an independent artist. Her 2022 track “Satellites” marked the beginning of this new chapter.
She subsequently released the single “Jellyfish” – a captivating musical statement about resilience, self-discovery and the beauty of remaining authentic in a constantly changing world. The song was accompanied by a music video filmed in Copenhagen during Distortion Festival, directed by Canadian filmmaker Andy Ziel.
For her live performances, Faunea has taken a new direction, presenting her music in an intimate acoustic format with only guitar and vocals. She has brought this raw, minimalist style to showcase stages in Los Angeles, at Spike Showcase in Bulgaria and at London’s Green Note. On October 4, she opened for Dutch artist Charlotte Wessels in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
In May, she traveled to Egypt to connect with local musicians and ended up performing with them, as well as the acclaimed violinist Mohamed Aly, at a live concert at Makan ECCA – the Egyptian Center for Culture and Art.
She now returns with a brand new single, “Never Like That” – a love letter to nightlife and its ability to heal a broken heart.
