Madame Machine | CPH Jazz Festival

Madame Machine is a jazz manouche and swing quintet formed in Copenhagen in 2022. Drawing inspiration from Django Reinhardt, the band brings the spirit of the Hot Jazz era into a contemporary context. Their music reflects the legacy of Django’s collaborations with woodwind legends such as Coleman Hawkins and Hubert Rostaing.

The band combines reworked Django classics with original compositions that sit naturally within the jazz manouche tradition. With an energetic, lyrical, and spontaneous sound, Madame Machine connects historical influences with a modern sensibility. They are regular performers at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival and Vinterjazz, and have appeared at numerous other jazz festivals and clubs across Denmark.

Their debut album, Vennetoget, was released in 2025.
