Movement Shaped Like a Heart presents...
Jacob Staib...
The music begins before it is decided.
Jacob Staib builds their own software and sets it in motion,
what happens next is unknown. Sound monoliths rise in real time,
driven by systems that follow their own inner logic.
Architectural structures tower impossibly high and fall impossibly deep.
It is an investigation of sound and development,
and the result is as much a surprise for the artist as it is for the listener.
Jacob Staib's debut album "UDEN KROP" will be released on June 5th,
just one day before this first ever solo performance at Xenon
Gertrude...
Some people say Gertrude was an old, mysterious woman no one had ever truly seen - a quiet presence drifting between places, gathering forgotten melodies, though no one knows where she lives, or if she ever existed at all.
Gertrude is a dream pop band whose music grows out of subtle gestures and small, song-like ideas. They move between ambient soundscapes and intimate songwriting, blending electronics, acoustic instruments, and voice into a single, breathing texture.
Nina Karpińska – vox
Franek Wicke – bass
Malina Midera – keys
Liam Amner – drums
Claire Dickson, Marius Wankel & Halfdan Magnus Stefansson...
Claire Dickson, Marius Wankel & Halfdan Magnus Stefansson is a new constellation and collaboration between the three musicians. All three being songwriters and improvisers - all three with very different meanings attached to those labels.
After a concert and first meeting at the Berlin concert series Future Bash in December 2025, they all felt the music they could make together had a lot of potential, and they decided to keep making more.
In June 2025 they are playing three more concerts, now as a band, in Berlin, Copenhagen and Århus, and will also be going into the studio to record this.
The dreamy and poetic vocals and electronics of Claire Dickson (based in Berlin, and Brooklyn before that), will be put in context by the autodidact, atmospheric noise-guitar of Halfdan Magnus Stefansson (in Copenhagen), all kept in momentum by the grounded, yet impalpable drumming of Marius Wankel (of the Berlin avantgarde scene) - all to make music that is based in fragile, intimate, and thoughtful songs.
The music is new and special to them, and they wish to share it with you.
