“Mysterious Alien Creature” (or Mac), a young extraterrestrial, separated from his family and stranded on Earth, finds Eric, a wheelchair-bound boy with whom he forms a friendship. Mac and Me is the gold standard of E.T. ripoff films from the 1980s. You come for the laughable bad effects, but stay for the heartwarming friendship.
