Ouri began playing the harp and piano at age 5, but at 7 she found unity in the cello. A self-proclaimed introvert who’d rather dash off on her own than feel disconnected in the wrong crowd, she arrived in Montreal at the age of 16 to pursue a degree in science and ended up studying music composition.

Montreal’s rave scene is where her artistry began to take shape, establishing herself in the underground community as a producer and DJ. Later, her classical skills guided her back to composition. Lending her skills to various collaborations, she feeds on her affinity for fusing sonically into any genre and playing any role.

One of a kind in the musical scene, Ouri holds the bridge between classical tradition and contemporary expression.

CHIRONS ROOM sings of queer shame and strength, sapphic love, death, kindness and the collective consciousness we’re all inevitably a part of. Through heavy autotune, synthesizer, drums, guitar and pedal-altered woodwinds, CHIRONS ROOM explores both aggression and the tenderness it’s fighting to protect.
