Karmen Rõivassepp Quartet is a young and prominent jazz quartet based in Aarhus, Denmark. Ever since their debut in 2018, their audience has been growing steadily around Denmark. With the prospect of breaking through on the European scene. Their debut album "Dance of Sounds" earned them a nomination at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2018 for "New Jazz Artist of the Year".

"The bandleader's vocals are striking in their purity, her range and her pitching impressive. And she is harmonically inventive when decorating melodies with intricate, scat-sung phrases [...]"

- Thomas Rees, Downbeat Magazine (2018)

The quartet is constantly evolving and are these days moving a little further away from their common jazz tradition language and showcasing the more reflective, moody and melancholic modern jazz style. In the process of finding their distinct sound, the band has experimented with everything from thoroughly composed material to complete freedom and open improvisation. Whatever the occasion, expect to hear striking vocal purity, great musical interplay intertwined with sophisticated melodies and harmonies when these four young jazz musicians take the stage.

On this special night, the band has invited Olga Amelchenko to join them on stage. Olga is a beast on the saxophone. Her most recent release was on the prominent London-based label 'Edition'.
