Simone Tang

With appearances at festivals such as SPOT, The Great Escape (UK) SMUKfest and Trans Musicales (FR), Simone Tang kicked off her solo career in 2019 with the debut single "Shame".

A year ago, Tang started writing the songs for his debut album in a new and more acoustic sound than previously released, cut down to the bone on guitar and vocals. Inspired by, among other things the sound of 1940s French chansons and songwriters such as Paul Simon, Elizabeth Cotton, Édith Piaf and others, she writes about forbidden love, perfectionism, neighborhood and sibling relationships.



In mid-May, Simone Tang released her first single, "A boy from a song", about unrequited love, the sequel "Miss Lila" about perfectionism, and most recently "Caroline", which is a song for her sister. The songs are from the upcoming debut album, "Things I Remember", which will be released on November 1, 2024.

Simone Tang is a songwriter, singer, producer, guitarist and bassist and plays with artists such as Ida Laurberg, Ki! and Tomas Høffding, in addition to being an artist in her own name. She has a past as an actress and in 2009 won, among other things, China's answer to an Oscar for best actress in the film Lovers Sorrow by Nils Malmros.
