The Rainbow Smuggler | CPH Jazz Festival

After a long journey from the swamps of New Orleans and across the Arctic ice sheet, the urban legend buffalo returns to his home in the city. But the city ain't the city anymore. The streets have shifted, the walls have new colours, and the ghosts learned new songs. Drawing inspiration from roots rock, swamp blues, cabaret, fusion jazz and funk, the Rainbow Smuggler takes you on a lyrical journey through the postmodern urban landscape. From the mind of Rasmus Sørensen emerge songs of beauty, transition and decay. The buffalo is back. And he brought a band.
