Vinterjazz: Den Der Hale (SE) + support: The Boombox Hearts
Den Der Hale (SE) is for those who love grandiose and atmospheric rock experiences – but who are also looking for something more raw, experimental and unpredictable than what you find on the mainstream rock scene. Since 2019, the Swedish quintet has made its mark with a sound that combines the dynamics of post-rock, the pulsating drive of krautrock and psychedelic noise layers in a dark, cinematic universe.
If you're into rock that both hits the body and sharpens the senses, you'll recognise the emotional melodies, dark intensity and dense atmosphere – but with Den Der Hale, you get it in a more uncompromising and experimental form. The music moves from cool, pulsating layers to powerful outbursts that draw the audience into a special sound space where the energy, presence and raw nerve are razor sharp.
With their upcoming album Pastoral Light, Den Der Hale explores humanity's relationship with nature through noisy textures, atmospheric passages and custom-built instruments. Live, the band is known for concerts that create a present and hypnotic space – perfect for audiences who want to explore new sides of rock and seek an experience that stands out in the winter darkness.
This is a concert for both dedicated rock fans who long for something new and for the curious who want to be surprised. Secure your spot and experience how post-psych can open up whole new sides of rock.
Support: The Boombox Hearts
After a break of several years, The Boombox Hearts was relaunched in 2023, and their sound is something like the 70s meets indie, twang, jazz, and a little shoegaze. It is hand-played music with the heart on its sleeve; delicate and strange sounds, modern and yet almost Beatlesque in melody.
In 2025, they released the single “Elinore (Blues for the Tormented Generation)” and played concerts in Copenhagen, Flensburg, and Stavanger. In April 2026, an EP recorded at Schalltona Studio in Hamburg will be released.
Line-up:
Brian Agha (drums), Torben Swilley-Hansen (bass), Lea Hebbelstrup (keys, perc., backing vocals), Søren Bække Olesen (lap steel, harmonica), Mikkel Max Jorn (guitar), Ivan Petersen (vocals, perc.).
