WOMAN AT WAR

Woman at War tells the story of Halla, a seemingly ordinary and independent woman in her fifties who leads a secret double life. By day, she is a choir conductor. In private, she is a determined environmental activist carrying out bold acts of sabotage against the local aluminium industry in order to protect the Icelandic highlands.

Just as she prepares her most ambitious operation yet, she receives unexpected news: her application to adopt a child from Ukraine has been approved. Faced with the possibility of becoming a mother, Halla must reconsider her path and decide whether she can continue her fight while embracing a new chapter in her life.
