SKURK - EP Releaseconcert

Support: UNDER MÅNEN

SKURK invites you to a release concert celebrating the release of their debut EP – the result of several years of immersion, experimentation and musical development. The EP marks a new chapter for the trio, where their characteristic sound – built around saxophone, bass and drums – is sharper than ever. Here, rhythm, texture and melody merge into a raw, cinematic and atmospheric universe.

Debre Damo Dining Orchestra

Imagine you are in the basement of the nightclub La Mamouniai in Marrakesh in... 1971. This is not just any jazz night – it is a celebration of music and vibes that will have you grooving from start to finish.

The ensemble, founded by saxophonist Søren Lyhne Skov and organist Peder Vind, brings a unique blend of Ethiopian jazz, Afrobeat and experimental sounds to HUSET. We will also be bringing our vinyl releases, which will be available for purchase.

Asian Sundays: Yes, Madam

Join us for a night of hard-hitting 1980s action with Yes, Madam! (1985), directed by Corey Yuen. The film marked a turning point in Hong Kong cinema, as Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock emerged as two of the first major female action stars in Asian film history.

This screening is part of our ongoing collaboration with the Copenhagen Asian Film Festival, which each month presents outstanding films from across Asia. All films are shown in their original language with English subtitles.

OURI (FR)

Come in from the cold on 4 December and let Ouris' sound travel through your body.

Ouri began playing the harp and piano at age 5, but at 7 she found unity in the cello. A self-proclaimed introvert who’d rather dash off on her own than feel disconnected in the wrong crowd, she arrived in Montreal at the age of 16 to pursue a degree in science and ended up studying music composition.

Hackers - 30 års jubilæum

Get ready to plug in and power up as we screen Hackers (1995), directed by Iain Softley — the film that defined 90s cyber culture. When a group of teenage hackers are framed for unleashing a dangerous computer virus, they must use their skills to expose the real culprit: a former hacker turned corporate security officer.

Named the best cyber film of its year, Hackers is a neon-lit time capsule of the early internet age — packed with unforgettable style, rebellious energy, and a soundtrack that still pulses with life. Come for the hacking, stay for the fashion and the beats.

Jo Jo Rabitt

Jojo Rabbit (2019) is a dark comedy in which director and actor Taika Waititi mixes farce, fantasy, and drama to tell the story of Jojo — a young boy in the Hitler Youth whose beliefs are shaken when he discovers his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home.

Described by The New York Times as “a mix of farce, fantasy, and drama,” the film explores themes of blind faith, fear, and humanity with biting satire and unexpected warmth. Inspired by classics like Dr. Strangelove, Jojo Rabbit dares to find laughter amid tragedy — and reminds us that humor can also be an act of courage.
