SALÓ

This film was based on the 1745 book written by the Marquis De Sade, and it was also the last film he released before he was murdered. The movie came out three weeks later and caused much controversy. It will strike some viewers as irredeemably depraved, but its unflinching view of human cruelty makes it impossible to ignore.
