Billie Holiday is one of Birgitte Soojin's greatest musical inspirations. Soojin has performed as a soloist with the DR Big Band and has recorded with the elite of Danish and international jazz musicians. She has received the prestigious Bent Jædig Honorary Scholarship and has so far received three nominations for her own releases at the Danish Music Awards.
