Makiko Hirabayashi Weavers

In 2021, Weavers received the Jazz Release of the Year award at the Danish Music Awards. The orchestra made its debut at a festival in Haifa in 2018, and some of the magical and spiritual primal force of that city has influenced their music from the very beginning. The group consists of some of the most distinctive voices on the Scandinavian jazz scene, with roots in such diverse genres as rock, Swedish folk music, jazz, and classical music. With a focus on the collective creative process, they create a unique musical universe that is dynamic, imaginative, and powerful.

At the concert at Paradise Jazz, Weavers will play music from both their new album “Gifts,” inspired by the Baroque composer Handel, and their debut album “Weavers” from 2021.
