Flirty & Thriving - A Classical Burlesque Show

Eight+ burlesque performers will be coming together for one night only!

As Miss Texass is turning 30, she wants to welcome a new decade of being flirty and thriving! All of the acts for the evening focus on being fun/flirty as well as strong/daring. The twenties were roaring so, let's make the thirties flirty.

All are welcome! No matter if you have never been to a burlesque show before or if you are part of the community, you will be entertained with glitter and rhinestones and charm and power! This is a party of a show - the more the merrier!

Monday Night Big Band, feat. Bobo Moreno

MNBB's repertoire consists mainly of compositions from the swing and bebop era (Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, etc.), arranged by bandleader Steen and infused with his masterful grasp of the big band tradition.

The audience is guaranteed big band jazz as our parents and grandparents appreciated it, brought into 2025 by the eternally young Steen and his talented big band musicians.

As a composer, he has contributed to Lars von Trier's Melancholia and a long list of TV, film, and theater projects. He leads a number of ensembles such as Spacelab and Hess Is More, releases critically acclaimed albums

Makiko Hirabayashi Weavers

In 2021, Weavers received the Jazz Release of the Year award at the Danish Music Awards. The orchestra made its debut at a festival in Haifa in 2018, and some of the magical and spiritual primal force of that city has influenced their music from the very beginning. The group consists of some of the most distinctive voices on the Scandinavian jazz scene, with roots in such diverse genres as rock, Swedish folk music, jazz, and classical music. With a focus on the collective creative process, they create a unique musical universe that is dynamic, imaginative, and powerful.

Birgitte Soojin sings Billie Holiday

Billie Holiday is one of Birgitte Soojin's greatest musical inspirations. Through beautiful interpretations of the songs that made Holiday world famous, Birgitte brings the American singer to life for an afternoon. But Birgitte Soojin does not just sing what has already been sung. Instead, she gives the beautiful melodies her own velvety soft, subdued, and elegant touch.

Mogensen, Knudsen Quartet feat. Amanda Sedgwick

Leading the group is the outstanding Swedish alto saxophonist Amanda Sedgwick, who is still relatively unknown in Denmark but is recognized as one of the most prominent younger musicians on the Swedish scene. With a clear reference to Charlie Parker and Cannonball Adderley, this is set to be a swinging encounter.

On guitar is Mogensen’s long-time collaborator of the past 30 years, Niclas Knudsen, whose playing is always present, searching and swinging. Completing the quartet is the Polish bassist Michał Rutkowski, who despite his young age has toured across much of the world.

ARTEM Farewell

After almost 7 years and many long, difficult and rewarding considerations, we have decided to close ARTEM. That is why we are hosting a farewell event at HUSET, where it all began, on October 2 from 19-22.

Vinterjazz: СОЮЗ (SOYUZ)

Based in Warsaw, their music travels far beyond borders. With roots in the Eastern European jazz and pop tradition, they blend elements of folk, orchestral music, and global pop into a sound that defies easy categorization – and that’s precisely what makes it so captivating.

The band consists of Alex Chumak (vocals, keys), Mikita Arlou (bass), Albert Karch (drums), and Igor Wiśniewski (guitar). Together, they create a concert experience where no two nights are alike. The audience is invited into a musical universe where intense improvisation meets carefully crafted arrangements.
